The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is located within the 77,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, along the Delaware River, and is within driving distance of New York City & Philadelphia.
PEEC's Mission
PEEC advances environmental education, sustainable living, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experience in a national park.
Schools: extend your classroom...a unique center for programs and field studies designed to meet the individual interests, needs and goals of each school, K-12, college and graduate school programs.
Families, Friends, Youth Groups, Conferences & Retreats: spend time together, re-connect, and build life long friendships.
Scouts: fulfill badge requirements for boy and girl scouts.
Nature Lovers: enjoy the great outdoors and expand your knowledge with experts in the field. The perfect place to enrich the quality of your life.
Teachers: Satisfy continuing education requirements and become inspired with new teaching tools and ideas
Donate & Contribute: We need the help & support of many friends & colleagues in order to provide quality programs and services throughout the year.
PEEC is a private non-profit organization- 501 (c)3 status and operates under the guidance of a 30 year Memorandum of Understanding with the National Park Service.
PEEC is the education partner of the National Park Service, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area
